Marquette Bank Employees Volunteer at St. Blase Supper Kitchen
Neighborhood Bank employees prepare and serve dinner for over 100 guests at St. Blase
Orland Park, IL (March 23, 2012) – Employees of Marquette Bank, a locally-owned neighborhood bank, recently volunteered at the St. Blasé Supper Kitchen in Summit, Illinois. They provided dinner for over one hundred guests at the Supper Kitchen. Benefitting those less fortunate, the twelve Bank employees spent their time preparing meals, serving guests and cleaning up after the dinner.
“At Marquette Bank, our employees are dedicated to helping the larger community through service and volunteerism,” said Betty Kosky-Harn, Executive Vice President. “We’re fortunate to have organizations like the St. Blasé Supper Kitchen where our employees have the opportunity to assist others in need.”
The Supper Kitchen, which is part of the St. Blasé Parish, has been in operation since 2003. It was founded by the Albertine Sisters, in collaboration with Catholic Charities, who care for and help the neediest residents in the surrounding area. Food is distributed each week, and every Wednesday evening a hot meal is served at the Supper Kitchen.
Marquette Bank’s volunteer efforts at the St. Blasé Supper Kitchen is part of the Marquette Neighborhood Commitment where each quarter the Bank focuses on a different area of need – shelter, hunger, education and health/wellness.
