• Marquette Bank Celebrates National Financial Literacy Month 

    Neighborhood Bank offers financial educational opportunities for customers and neighbors during Financial Literacy Month 

     

    Orland Park, IL (April 2, 2012) Marquette Bank, a locally-owned neighborhood bank, is doing its part in raising awareness of financial literacy by hosting seminars and offering personal financial reviews to local residents throughout the month of April in honor of National Financial Literacy Month. Officially recognized by Congress in 2004, National Financial Literacy Month is dedicated to educating Americans on money management and promoting healthy financial habits. The campaign is a nationwide effort supported by financial institutions, companies, nonprofits and government agencies.

    Through its commitment to financial literacy, the Bank also partners with community institutions such as schools, churches, libraries and community organizations to offer free financial educational opportunities for local residents related to money management, savings, budgeting, retirement, estate planning and home financing.
