Marquette Bank Partners with Junior Achievement to Educate Local Students
Neighborhood Bank participates "JA in a Day" at Mariano Azuela Elementary School
Orland Park, IL (May 7, 2012) –– Marquette Bank, a locally-owned neighborhood bank, volunteered with Junior Achievement of Chicago to teach students about the connection between education and success at Mariano Azuela Elementary School in Chicago. The Junior Achievement program, JA in a Day, facilitates the partnership between a local business and an elementary school where volunteers from the business community help instruct and inspire youth on how to be successful in the global economy. “Junior Achievement and Marquette Bank both strive to promote financial literacy and ensure the community is equipped with the right resources to succeed,” said Sandra Turner, Community Relations Officer. “The most rewarding experiences for our volunteers are always those we are able to work directly with students and see the impact first-hand.” Junior Achievement is an international organization dedicated to educating students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through hands-on programs.
