Marquette Bank Sponsors 6th Annual Running for Hope 5K Run/Walk in Oak Lawn
Local bank supports event to benefit Advocate Hope Children's Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House in Oak Lawn
Orland Park, IL (June 12, 2013) –– Marquette Bank, a locally-owned neighborhood bank, served as a platinum sponsor of the 6th annual Running for Hope 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, June 2 at Keeler Park in Oak Lawn. Nearly $115,000 was raised during the event and all proceeds were donated to the Advocate Hope Children’s Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House Charities® in Oak Lawn, which partner to serve families of hospitalized children. More than 55 Marquette Bank employees and their family members participated in this event. “As a neighborhood bank, we feel that it is very important to get involved with community organizations like Advocate Hope Children’s Hospital and the Ronal McDonald House,” Betty Kosky-Harn, Executive Vice President, said. “This is our sixth year as an event sponsor and our employees and their families continue to come out every year to show their support for the great cause.” This sponsorship is part of Marquette Bank’s Neighborhood Commitment, where each quarter the bank focuses on a different area of need: shelter, hunger, education and health/wellness.
