Marquette Bank Kicks Off School Supply Drive to Benefit Local Youth
Local bank is collecting school supplies to help needy families in neighboring schools
Orland Park, IL (July 15, 2013) –– Marquette Bank, a locally-owned neighborhood bank, launched its annual Neighborhood School Supply Drive today, and will be collecting items including crayons, glue, spiral notebooks and backpacks, which will be donated to students in need from neighboring communities. The collected items will be distributed through local schools and community organizations. “Our annual Neighborhood School Supply Drive helps to ensure that our neighborhood students have the basic supplies needed to excel in the classroom,” Betty Kosky-Harn, Executive Vice President, said. “As a neighborhood bank, we know how important it is to support local students and prepare them for the upcoming school year.” Customers, employees, neighbors and businesses can donate school supplies at any of Marquette Bank’s 23 locations now through Aug. 9, 2013. Marquette Bank is accepting donations of backpacks, binders, boxes of tissue, calculators, colored pencils, crayons, dictionaries, erasers, flash cards, folders, glue sticks, hand sanitizer, highlighters, paper towels, pens/pencils, rulers, sanitary wipes, scissors, spiral notebooks, washable markers and other general school supplies. The Neighborhood School Supply Drive is part of Marquette Bank’s Neighborhood Commitment, in which the bank focuses each quarter on a different area of need: shelter, hunger, education and health/wellness.
