Marquette Bank Celebrates National Good Neighbor Day
Local bank observes Good Neighbor Day with customer refreshments along with a neighborhood gift project charity contest
Orland Park, IL (Sept. 10, 2013) –– Marquette Bank, a locally-owned neighborhood bank, is celebrating National Good Neighbor Day on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013 with giveaways and refreshments at all branches along with a special donation to one lucky nonprofit.
“Our Good Neighbor Day Gift Project contest allows us to build relationships with local organizations in our neighborhoods that are struggling and in need of our help,” Christie Cox, Neighborhood Director, said. “As a neighborhood bank, it is our mission to help the less fortunate and make the neighborhoods we live in stronger for the residents in our communities.” In order to qualify, nonprofits must be a 501(c)(3) or a 509(a)(1) organization. Completed applications must be received by Oct. 31, 2013 and the winning organization will be chosen by the Marquette Neighborhood Committee by Nov. 15, 2013. Marquette Bank’s participation in National Good Neighbor Day and its Good Neighbor Gift Project are part of the Marquette Neighborhood Commitment, where each quarter the bank focuses on giving back to its communities in four areas of need: shelter, hunger, education and health/wellness. The bank will provide refreshments on National Good Neighbor Day on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013 and the day before, Friday, Sept. 27, 2013.
