Marquette Bank Collects Over 250 Toys Through Neighborhood Toy Drive Neighborhood Bank gives back this holiday season with toy drive
Orland Park, IL (December 6, 2013) – Marquette Bank, a locally-owned neighborhood bank, held its 4th annual Neighborhood Toy Drive where business customers and clients of the Bank were encouraged to donate new toys that would go to a child in need this Christmas. This past holiday season, over 250 toys were collected and given out through local organizations and through bank efforts. “During the holidays, people should spread joy and happiness, especially to those less fortunate, “Betty Kosky-Harn, Executive Vice President, said. “We would like to thank all of our business customers and clients for their donations which made our Neighborhood Toy Drive a success again this year.” Once toys were collected through the Toy Drive, they were disturbed through various efforts and charitable organizations for children in need. Some of the toys were given to children and families through the Marquette Bank Adopt-a-Family Program, where the bank teamed up with seven local organizations and fulfilled holiday wish lists for 20 families, including 75 children. Toys collected during the Toy Drive were also distributed to Clara’s House, a shelter for women and children in Chicago, and the Toy Box Connection, a local nonprofit located in the south suburbs that provides toys to children in need. The 4th annual Neighborhood Toy Drive was part of the Marquette Neighborhood Commitment, where each quarter Marquette Bank focuses on a different area of need – shelter, hunger, education and health/wellness.
