Marquette Bank Hosts Valentine's Day at Hope Children's Hospital in Oak Lawn Neighborhood bank employees throw a Valentine's Day party
Orland Park, IL (February 17, 2014) – Marquette Bank, a locally-owned neighborhood bank, hosted a Valentine’s Day party at Hope Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn. Employees entertained the children with various Valentine’s Day themed activities in celebration of the holiday. This was the fourth year the bank hosted party for children at the hospital. “I can say that seeing the children’s faces light up is one of the greatest feelings,” Jack Baker, Vice President Commercial Banking, said. “We’ve had parties at Hope Children’s Hospital before and it’s nice to watch the kids have fun and be able to act like any other healthy kid.” Marquette Bank employees decorated and set up all of the activities for the children, including: drawing, coloring, writing Valentine’s Day cards to family members, creating candy necklaces and decorating cupcakes. All cupcake-related supplies were donated by Orland Park Bakery. The Advocate Hope Children’s Hospital Valentine’s Day Party was part of the Marquette Neighborhood Commitment, where each quarter Marquette Bank focuses on a different area of need – shelter, hunger, education and health/wellness.
